Realometer: Stairs
In a building stairs connect different levels inside. Also stairs lead from the inside of the building to the outside, to the terrace, to the garden.
What would be an equivalent in the text-as-text-world? Are words stairs which lead outside? Words like “open”, or “garden” or “sky” (read in a text), do they invite to leave the text? Then, nearly every word or every subject in a text invites to leave the text. Every word? Every subject? What about words like “atom”, or “idea” and the whole range of verbs that indicate acts of writing and reading for example: “I read this post?”
